Monday, 17 November 2008                Official practice day
Tuesday, 18 November 2008               Official practice until 12 noon
                                                        Opening ceremony at 4 pm
Wednesday, 19 November 2008          Competition starts 6am until sunset
Sunday, 23 November 2008                Competition ends 1pm
                                                        Closing Ceremony and prize giving at 5 pm

Preparations for the Canopy Piloting World Championships are in full swing. The plastic for the pond has been delivered and installed and the pond has been filled. The 1st bulletin for the world championships will be available in the next month. Following a recent site visit from Gill Winters, who is the official IPC event controller for the Canopy Piloting World Champs, she confirmed that she is satisfied with what she saw and the facilities offered by Pretoria Skydiving Club. She also commented that it is one of the most beautiful settings to host a World Championships event. The Canopy Piloting Working Committee is satisfied with the specifications of the pond as it complies with world standard requirements. 

We are busy developing our own measuring equipment for the meet but will also look at renting equipment if we are not 100% satisfied with the new developed equipment.
