What an excellent Boogie!! All the jumpers that were there made this an absolutely awesome weekend. And we surely are looking at having another one soon. So keep your eyes and ears open boys and girls and be sure not to miss it.

 

The Rooiberg weekend started off with an early arrival and a big party with Big Bailey and Miguel (sort of like a business meeting) in the Rooiberg Golf Club bar, where we had big parties all weekend after jumping.

Friday morning most of jumpers arrived and got set up to get ready for a great weekend. Angie was running manifest on day one and Marisa carried on from there. Manifest chicks rock!

The PAC arrived Friday with Neil behind the stick on the grass runway. Having chased the buck off with the first fly by a smooth landing was in order. We jumped every day from Friday through to Monday with just a few weather holds.

The golf course was all dewed up and slippery and surf was up in the morning. Nobody landed off all weekend long...helps to warn about the lions before everyone gets there.... makes for good spotting.

We skydived hard and partied even harder. Hold onto your hats ‘cause the bush folks want to party all the time...and they know how. We got fed like kings every day and every night. Thanks to help from the hosts and the people at the bar the operations were smooth and the weekend was surely one of the best Go Aways and Go Away spots I've ever seen.

Miguel and all his friends got introduced to Tandem Skydiving with our tandem boys Mike and Rob V and camera boys Bertus and Attie. Everyone absolutely loved it and hoping they loved it enough to join us again up in the skies we like to call home.

Thanks to everyone who helped and made this event happen. Thanks to all the Cape Town boys and girls who joined us, all the Witbank boys, Nylstroom, Wonderboom and Carletonville. This Boogie would not be what it was if it wasn’t for the jumpers of course.
